Zig
This is actually more of a doodle. I have a friend who does amazing things like this and I wanted to attempt at something similar to it.
This was done straight in Prismacolor colored pencils.
9" x 12" paper.
Original is, of course, on sale for $20.

Poppy
This is another more abstract piece. As strange as it may seem, I actually don't usually sit around painting butterflies and flowers all day... This was something new for me and also rather difficult, to be honest. The reason I painted it was actually so that I could get more used to acrylics.
Done in acrylic paint.
9" x 12" canvas board.
Original is on sale for $30.

Wildfire
Hola everyone!
I did this one a while back. It's one of my first abstract works. I have a tendency to get super angry and art is one of my escapes, so I do have a lot of abstract things which occur at about those times. That's maybe a bit disturbing, but bear with me here. I promise I'm not anything other than human. I like to use that to my advantage in my work. This is done in acrylics and oil paint.
9" x 12" canvas board.
Original is indeed for sale for $40.

Green Scarf, Green Grass
This is just some more of the same technique as the "Daydream" one.
It's sketched out from pencil and then colored a dozen times over in Prismacolor colored pencils.
9" x 12" paper.
Loosely inspired by Anne of Green Gables.
Original is currently selling for $30.

A Girl's Daydream
This is a plan for a chalk festival I'll be doing in August.
It is sort of inspired by what I wanted to be when I was younger--a ballerina. I took ballet for several years until quitting because of my teachers. I used to walk on my tiptoes all over the house because I wanted to do Pointe, but instead of helping me reach that goal, it messed up the muscles in my calf. Funny, huh? I still think it would be amazing to be a ballerina, but yeah... I would have serious trouble trying to do that again.
9" x 12" paper.
The original is now on sale for $45.

In Honest
Hi there, I'm known as many things, but I usually prefer Kenzie out of all of them. I'm an aspiring artist and amateur photographer. It's hard to get known in the world nowadays, as most of us well know. It's even more difficult if you aren't taken seriously. Well, I'm here to say that I'm serious. I'm not trying to sound self-righteous or ignorant, I just want to be honest.
To put things in black and white, I am willing to do leaps and bounds for what I believe and what I do. You may say that "I'm just too young" and believe me, I say that all the time. Talent comes in different sizes and different packages, as most of us know. I've been told that I have serious potential and I find myself believing it now. It isn't wrong for me to share my work and that is why this blog exists.
You can take that first part however you like. I just believe that it needed to be said.
Alright, thank you for reading at least this far. I'll be selling artwork here and also giving a bit of back story on each piece, probably the process as well. Thank you!
