Something for the Family

My mom asked me for something abstract for her house that she's been trying to make look nice. We found some resin at Hobby Lobby and I'd never used that media before. This was my first time using it and it was really fun. I've done abstract before, but never so much as in this piece. It was like a break within a break for me. Kind of mindless and nice. It was nice to not really have to think about what was doing and really let it all flow.

Orange Flowers

Here's a super old painting I did last winter when I was feeling a little angsty. I just pulled out my paper, squirted paints straight from the tube on to it and went at it with my brush and hands. That was just the background. I later added the flowers on it and added some texture with colored pencils and markers.

I'm Back... in Greens?

Hi everyone, that is, if anyone is still reading this blog. It's been ages. I'll be posting old art, but I'll color coordinate the posts for fun.
The first one is a Game of Thrones inspired piece called "The Wall", the next is just something I drew on the back of my notebook, after that one, we have a triangle page, and lastly, we have "Tropics".
All of these are done in mixed media, generally using colored pencil and marker. Except for the triangle paper, that one was just marker.

But how have you been? Good? Hopefully so.
