Something for the Family
My mom asked me for something abstract for her house that she's been trying to make look nice. We found some resin at Hobby Lobby and I'd never used that media before. This was my first time using it and it was really fun. I've done abstract before, but never so much as in this piece. It was like a break within a break for me. Kind of mindless and nice. It was nice to not really have to think about what was doing and really let it all flow.

Orange Flowers
Here's a super old painting I did last winter when I was feeling a little angsty. I just pulled out my paper, squirted paints straight from the tube on to it and went at it with my brush and hands. That was just the background. I later added the flowers on it and added some texture with colored pencils and markers.

Red and Gold
These are all products of experimentation, really.
The first wasn't really inspired by anything I just wanted to try drawing someone looking up with really crazy, pretty hair. The next one was kind of inspired by matadors and Carmen. The very last one was just me trying a new pattern besides triangles.
I will be trying to make my posts more weekly now!
